I wondered.... Why dont grocers have Powder BROWN Sugar, wel this is what I came up with. Try using it where you would use white sugar, but would like a richer flavor. ENJOY !

COVER A PAN WITH FOIL, THIS WILL ALLOW SUGAR TO RELEASE EASILY

- brown sugar

Steps:

  • SET OVEN TO 250 F
  • spread brown sugar on foil in a thin layer
  • break up any large pieces as small as possible
  • Place sugar in oven ( TURN OFF OVEN )
  • Let set for 1 hour ( DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR ) This will cause the process to take longer
  • After 1 hour, check sugar. It sould be hard to the touch and crumbly. If sugar stay in one large piece. REPEAT STEPS........... 1 through 5
  • When completely dry, blend in coffee grinder, food processer. grind until in powder form.

According to textual research, ice powder began in the last years of the Ming Dynasty. There is a beautiful folk legend about the origin of ice powder: In the northwest of Wuyang in the late Ming and early Qing, there was a family with the surname Wang and a female named Wang Weiyuan. One day, Weiyuan picked pears on the mountain and accidentally shook the fruit of a green vine (now the ice powder tree) on the pear tree into a sachet. After returning home, when Wang Weiyuan cleaned the sachet, the sachet overflowed with transparent fruit pulp. He was surprised and put the fruit pulp in a bowl. After a while, the fruit pulp condensed.
Wang Weiyuan saw that it was shining, like ice and not ice, and powder and not powder, and couldn't help but taste it. The ice was cold and smooth, and it was so wonderful! Weiyuan found brown sugar, pour it into brown sugar and pour it into it, taste it again, cool and faint, sweet Mimi! Weiyuan repeatedly said: "Ice powder! Ice powder!"
When the family came back to taste it, it turned out to be wonderful, and encouraged Weiyuan to set up stalls selling ice powder. 10gram Ice powder
500 g mineral water
4 tbsp brown sugar
1 scoop White sesame
1 scoop Ground peanuts
3 slices Hawthorn tablets
Ten raisin

Steps:

  • Bring the water to a boil and pour it into a large glass bowl, the water should be above 90 degrees
  • Add ice powder, then use a spoon to stir evenly until there are no particles
  • Stir evenly and let cool, put it in the refrigerator, refrigerate for three hours, take it out, and use a small spoon to dig the solidified ice powder into small pieces
  • Put brown sugar in the bowl, pour hot water, stir the brown sugar evenly, make the adjusted brown sugar juice cool, put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour and take it out
