Steps:

  • To Prepare This is a great recipe to use up leftover bread or bread that's close to expiry. All you need is 3 ingredients - bread, butter and sugar. So to start, gather the ingredients. Preheat oven to 150°C. Generously butter each slice of bread and sprinkle with sugar. White coarse sugar works best for that extra crunch, but raw sugar works too. Lay the slices of bread on a baking tray and bake for about 15 mins or until bread is slightly browned and crisp. Remove from tray and onto cooling rack to completely cook before storing in an airtight container. Now, they store like biscuits and can be eaten over a much longer time.

Steps:

  • Use a toaster to toast the bread to desired darkness. Spread butter or margarine onto one side of each slice. In a cup or small bowl, stir together the sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle generously over hot buttered toast.
