The sweet, tangy sauce on these ribs--with honey, sherry, ginger and soy sauce--will make these spareribs a new family favorite.

4 pounds pork spareribs
½ cup Kikkoman Soy Sauce
? cup honey
¼ cup dry sherry
1 clove garlic, crushed
¼ teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Cut ribs into serving pieces; place in shallow, foil-lined pan, meaty side down.
  • Combine remaining ingredients; brush ribs thoroughly with sauce.
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees F. 1 hour.
  • Turn ribs over, pour remaining sauce over ribs and brush with sauce. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes longer; brush occasionally.

Chinese spareribs, also known as Cantonese BBQ or char siu, are spareribs that are marinated in hoison sauce, soy sauce, and spices and barbecued or roasted.  This chinese spareribs recipe is easily one of our best spareribs recipes due to its ability to deliver the taste and texture of ribs you can typically only find at your local Chinatown. Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tablespoon canola oil
2 pound pork spareribs
1 1/2 cup unsalted vegetable stock
1/2 cup chinese rice wine
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
3 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoon five-spice powder
2 slices ginger, crushed
1/4 cup sliced scallions (sliced on the bias)

Steps:

  • Heat the oil on in a Dutch oven, on high heat. Add the ribs and brown on both sides, about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
  • Except for the scallions, add the remaining ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine. Pour over ribs. Cover, turn the heat down to low, and simmer for at least 1 hour, or until the ribs are tender, adding more stock if needed.
  • Garnish with sliced scallions before serving.
