BANKET (ALMOND ROLL) RECIPE - FOOD.COM
This is my husbands trademark recipe! He immigrated to the US after we married (from Holland) and 'brought to here' some of his most loved recipes from back home that he wasnted to continue to make here. This is one of his (and my) favorites. Keep in mind that it's a very sweet almond roll... so you don't want to take HUGE pieces when slicing. It's really good with a nice hot cup of coffee! It also makes quite a bit, so we enjoy making it around the holidays and giving a few of the 'rolls' to family! I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

ALMOND SPRITZ COOKIES RECIPE - NYT COOKING
A holiday classic found in nearly every cookie box, these almond-flavored treats are buttery, crisp and all too easy to eat by the handful (fear not, this recipe makes a lot). Spritz cookies also keep well, for up to two weeks stored in an airtight container at room temperature. If you don’t have a spritz gun, you can use a pastry bag to form them. Or, for more rustic versions, skip the pressing altogether. Chill the dough for an hour, then roll out 1-inch balls, placing them 1 ½ inches apart on the baking sheets, then use a fork to flatten them. A sprinkle of colored sugar makes everything pretty.
