Lotus paste filling recipe - Simple Chinese Food image

The lotus seed paste filling made by myself is green without additives, which is natural and healthy.

150 grams White lotus seeds
100 g crystal sugar
50 grams oil

Steps:

  • Wash the lotus seeds and soak for 20 minutes
  • Open the lotus petals and take out the lotus heart, soak in water for 4 hours
  • The soaked lotus seeds are much bigger than the original
  • Pour into the rice cooker, add the amount of water that has not been used for lotus seeds and simmer for 25 minutes
  • Boil until the lotus seeds are lightly crushed with a spoon
  • Pour the water and lotus seeds into the cooking machine and twist it
  • Until it becomes very delicate
  • Pour into a non-stick pan and stir fry,
  • Add sugar and oil in batches. The method of adding oil is to add a small amount of oil several times. The last one is completely absorbed and then put it down again.
  • The amount of sugar can also be increased or decreased according to personal preference. You can try it while sautéing, and sauté to the appropriate softness and hardness. The lotus seed paste is much harder than it is when it is warm.
