3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh garlic
1 (20-ounce) package lean ground turkey
1 small (1/2 cup) onion, chopped
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (14.5-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 (14- to 15-ounce) cans dark red kidney beans and/or pinto beans, drained, rinsed
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup dark beer *
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 small (1/2 cup) green bell pepper, chopped
Sour cream, if desired
Shredded Cheddar cheese, if desired

Steps:

  • Melt butter in 6-quart saucepan until sizzling. Add garlic; sauté 1 minute. Add ground turkey and onions; cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 10-12 minutes or until turkey is cooked through.
  • Reduce heat to medium. Stir in all remaining ingredients except sour cream and cheese. Cover; cook, stirring occasionally, 25-35 minutes or until heated through.
  • Serve chili with sour cream and cheese, if desired.

2 lb ground buffalo
2 cans non alcohol beer
2 tsp chili powder
1 cup sliced mushroom
1 can tomato paste
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 can kidney beans
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup diced onion
½ tsp pepper
1 tsp paprika

Steps:

  • Brown buffalo meat, can substitute beef, turkey or deer, onions and mushrooms in skillet with Worcestershire.
  • Pour off excess drippings.
  • Place in large pot.
  • Add tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, pepper, paprika and beans.
  • Pour in beer.
  • Simmer one to two hours.
  • Stir occasionally to keep from sticking in bottom of pan.
  • Serve with salad and garlic bread.
