Sage Stuffing Recipe - McCormick image

Finished with a brown sugar glaze, this delectable slow cooker carrot recipe enjoys hints of warm cinnamon and spicy ginger and is the perfect side to a savory meal. Number Of Ingredients 7

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 package (8 ounces) unseasoned stuffing mix
2 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 tsps McCormick® Sage, Ground
1/2 tsp McCormick® Thyme, Ground

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in large skillet on medium heat. Add celery and onion; cook and stir 5 minutes. Stir in stuffing mix. Add chicken broth, sage and thyme; toss gently. Spoon into lightly greased 2-quart baking dish.
  • Bake 30 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground coriander seeds
½ teaspoon cayenne
½ teaspoon ground allspice
¼ teaspoon ground cloves

Steps:

  • In a small bowl whisk together all ingredients until combined well. Spice blend keeps in an airtight container at cool room temperature 1 month.
