We’re sure that by now, you’ve seen a lot of ways to cook and serve the all mighty bacon! So, if you’re looking for new recipes, try this deep fried version. For better results and flavor, we’ve enriched the dough with a touch of good beer. It’s the perfect snack for watching the game with your friends!

Number Of Ingredients 8

6 bacon
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
½ cup beer
vegetable oil for frying

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet and begin frying the bacon slices.
  • Fry them on both sides until it loses some of its fat and becomes crispy.
  • Separately, use a large bowl and mix the flour with baking powder and baking soda.
  • Break the eggs. Add them in the bowl. Pour the beer.
  • Mix everything until smooth and use this mixture to coat the fried bacon slices.
  • Add vegetable oil in a skillet and deep fry the bacon strips for 1-2 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  • You can serve them with all kinds of dips, according to your preferences.

This is my favorite way of making bacon, no mess, no cleanup! Comes out just like fried bacon crispy, fries in the oven in it's own bacon grease. The pepper is optional.

8 slices bacon
1/2 tablespoon pepper

Steps:

  • Use a 4 sided pan like a jelly roll pan.
  • Line pan with tinfoil.
  • Fold parchment paper to fit over tinfoil in pan. Must use parchment paper & line the pan for easy cleanup, important step!
  • Set oven to 400*.
  • After lining pan lay strips of bacon on parchment paper.
  • Put in preheated 400* for 15 minutes, I turn bacon over after 10 minutes.
  • Take out when crispy & lay on paper towels.
  • When pan cools roll up tinfoil & parchment paper & throw away, no pan to wash!

  • Fill a large pot with a few inches of vegetable oil. Fit with a thermometer and heat oil to 400ºF. Meanwhile, make the sauce. In a pan, add vegetable oil and garlic over medium heat. Cook for 1–2 minutes until garlic is barely golden. Add honey and the sugar and then lemon juice, zest and rice vinegar. Whisk together and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Whisk in the Sriracha and remove from heat. Season to taste with kosher salt.When the oil is 400ºF, add 1/2 of the Brussels sprouts and turn the heat to high. Stir sprouts while they are frying. When they float to the top and have a nice golden brown color, about 3 minutes, remove them with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a paper-towel-lined sheet tray. Sprinkle lightly with kosher salt and bring oil temperature back to 400ºF. Add remaining half of the sprouts to the oil and repeat the process, adding the chilis in the last minute of frying the second batch.Add all of the sprouts and chili to a bowl and drizzle with the sauce right before serving hot.Note: The temperature of the oil is very important. If the temperature is low or the Brussels sprouts are cold or damp, it will bring the temperature down too low and the sprouts will be soggy, not crispy!
