Crust
1 (1/4-ounce) package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (105°F to 115°F)
2 1/4 to 2 3/4 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons coarse salt
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
1 to 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon coarse ground pepper
Toppings
Pizza sauce
Chopped cooked vegetables and meat
shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water in large bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in 1 1/2 cups flour, 2 teaspoons coarse salt, 2 tablespoons oil and garlic; beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to make dough easy to handle.
  • Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic (about 5 minutes). Place in greased bowl; turn greased-side up. Cover; let rise in warm place until double in size (about 1 hour). (Dough is ready if indentation remains when touched.)
  • Punch down dough; divide in half. Let stand 10 minutes.
  • Heat oven to 425°F.
  • Bake on lowest rack of oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven; add your choice of toppings. Continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes or until crust is lightly browned on edges.
  • Lightly flour hands. Press one portion dough into 12-inch circle on greased 12-inch pizza pan or baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough. Brush crusts with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and pepper.

1 can of pizza crust dough
1 bag. 6 oz (baby spinach)
8 oz sliced baby bella mushrooms
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1 olive oil
1 T butter
salt and pepper
3-4 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
1/2 cup light Alfredo Sauce
4 oz shaved Parmesan cheese (divided)

Steps:

  • Unroll dough onto cookie sheet and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Gently push seeds into dough. Bake at 400 10 minutes, until turning golden.
  • While crust is baked saute mushrooms in butter and olive oil over medium high heat, stirring occasionally, until mushrooms are golden and cooked through. Top with 1/2 spinach and cover with a lid. Let steam for several minutes then remove lid and stir wilted spinach into mushrooms. Add remaining spinach and repeat..Set vegetables aside until crust is ready.
  • Remove crust from oven and top with a thin layer of Alfredo sauce. Top with spinach and mushrooms, using a slotted spoon and squeezing spinach to drain. Cover vegetables with 2/3 of Parmesan, then proscuitto. Return to oven and bake 5-8 more minutes until brown bubbly and cheese is melted. Top with remaining Parmesan and return to oven for 2 minutes to melt. Cut into 8 squares
