Sha cha beef is a beef stir fry dish from Fujian cuisine. It is made with beef, Sha cha sauce, vegetables, and other spices. It is really easy to make and is delicious.

1 pound Beef
3 Garlic Cloves (sliced)
2 tablespoons Ginger (minced)
5 Scallions (chopped)
2 teaspoon Cornstarch
2 cups Vegetable Oil
1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Sha Cha Sauce
2 teaspoons Sugar

Steps:

  • Add vegetable oil, cornstarch, soy sauce, and beef in a wok. Mix it well. Cook the mixture until the beef is seared.
  • Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.
  • Then, reduce the heat and add 3 tablespoons of oil to the wok. Then, add ginger to it and cook for 1 minute. Add Sha cha sauce and sugar to it and cook the mixture for 2 minutes.
  • Add the cooked beef along with scallions to the wok. Also, add the soy sauce to it. Stir fry it for 5 minutes.
  • Your Sha Cha beef is ready to serve!

Braised Chicken with Chinese Sha Cha Sauce

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 boneless chicken legs or 1 chicken breast ( , cut into thin slices)
coriander as needed
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. cooking wine
2 tsp. cornstarch
2 tsp. water
1/4 red onion
2 green peppers ( , both bell and spicy pepper work fine)
2 garlic cloves ( , minced)
1.5 tbsp. sha cha sauce
1/2 cup stock or water

Steps:

  • Slice chicken and then marinating with soy sauce, cooking wine and water starch. Set aside for around 15 minutes.
  • Heat your cook firstly, then around 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a non-stick pan or wok. Place chicken in when the oil is warm but not hot. Let the chicken stay for 3-5 seconds and gently stir fry the chicken until the the chicken slices turns pale. Transfer out.
  • Leave some oil in and fry garlic until aromatic. Place sha cha sauce in and add water. Bring everything to a boiling and then place chicken, chili peppers and red onion. Simmer for 1 minute and serve with steamed rice.

Apr 21, 2018 · Remove the beef from the wok and set aside. Reduce the heat to medium, and add another couple tablespoons of oil to the wok. Add the ginger and cook for 1 minute. Add the garlic, Sha Cha Sauce, and sugar, and fry this mixture for 2 minutes. Add the scallions and beef back to the wok, along with the remaining tablespoon of soy sauce.
