Simple Puff Pastry Cinnamon Rolls | Allrecipes image

Very simple cinnamon rolls made with puff pastry. Serve with your favorite glaze and pecans for garnish!

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
½ tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
¾ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unfold puff pastry sheet on a slightly floured surface. Brush puff pastry with melted butter. Sprinkle brown sugar over the whole sheet, then sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Roll the sheet from right to left as tight as possible, without ripping the dough. Slice the puff pastry with a sharp knife into 12 equal-sized rolls, about 1 inch each. Place each roll cut side-up on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until rolls have puffed and browned, 20 to 25 minutes.

No one will be able to tell that this stunning, festive appetizer is made entirely from premade ingredients, but it is! Puff pastry, blackberry jam and Brie combine to create a sweet appetizer that's perfect for a holiday or dinner party.

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
6 tablespoons blackberry jam
6 ounces Brie cheese, sliced thinly

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Stack 2 baking sheets on top of each other (this will help keep the bottom from burning) and line with parchment paper. Lay puff pastry on another sheet of parchment and roll it out to about 12 inches. Evenly spread jam over the pastry, leaving ½ inch of one edge bare for sealing. Lay Brie slices on top of the jam. Brush the bare edge with water to help it stick. Starting at the opposite edge, roll the pastry into a log; place seam-side down on a small cutting board and freeze until firm enough to slice, 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 10 pieces. Transfer the slices to the prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden brown on the edges, 23 to 25 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
