1 lemon
2 garlic cloves
400 grams Farfalle
salt
1 tablespoon butter (15 grams or approximately .5 ounce)
5 tablespoons Pine nuts (75 grams or approximately 2.5 ounces)
1 handful fresh Basil
peppers
1 piece Parmesan (20 grams or approximately .75 ounces)

Steps:

  • Rinse the lemon in hot water, pat dry, grate the zest and squeeze the juice. Set aside.
  • Peel the garlic and cut into thin slices.
  • Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package directions until al dente.
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan over low heat. Add the garlic and lemon zest and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Toast the pine nuts in another pan until fragrant.
  • Rinse the basil, shake dry and pluck leaves.
  • Drain the pasta and add to the pan with the pine nuts. Add the pepper, garlic, lemon zest, and juice. Mix in the basil and spread onto 4 plates. Serve with grated parmesean cheese.

3/4 cup(s) olive oil
1/2 cup(s) pine nuts, crushed
2 can(s) sliced ripe olives, drained (2 1/4 ounce cans)
18 clove(s) garlic, crushed (about 1 small head)
2 tablespoon(s) fresh basil, chopped
16 ounce(s) angel hair pasta
1/4 cup(s) parmesan cheese, freshly grated

Steps:

  • Combine the first 5 ingredients in a skillet. Cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated. Take care not to burn the garlic!!
  • Set aside and keep warm.
  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions; drain well. Place the pasta in a bowl.
  • Add the pine nut mixture and toss well. Sprinkle with cheese.
