Steps:
- Butter 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
- Place butter and peanut butter into bowl. Microwave 1 1/2-2 minutes or until butter melts; stir until well mixed. Stir in all remaining ingredients until lumps of sugar disappear. Microwave 1 1/2-2 minutes or until softened but not bubbly; stir.
- Pour into prepared pan. Cover; refrigerate at least 1 hour until firm. Cut into squares. Store refrigerated.

Steps:
- Line a 9 X 13 cake pan with waxed paper and set aside. I have also used plastic wrap to line pan, but it is harder to remove.
- Place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl. Heat for 1 minute and stir.
- Continue heating and stirring until chocolate is smooth and creamy. I usually heat for 30 second intervals. Chocolate that is too hot will become hard.
- When chocolate is melted, add the jar of peanut butter. Stir until mixture is smooth.
- Pour into wax paper lined cake pan. To remove air pockets, slightly bump in counter or tabletop.
- Put pan in a cool place, I sometimes put it in the refrigerator, to set up. Cut into bite size pieces and store in an air tight container.

- Combine the butter and peanut butter in a 4-quart microwave-safe bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Microwave for 2 minutes on high. Stir and microwave on high for 2 more minutes. (Use caution when removing this mixture from the microwave, it will be very hot.) Add the vanilla and powdered sugar to the peanut butter mixture and stir to combine with a wooden spoon. The mixture will become hard to stir and lose its sheen. Spread into a buttered 8 by 8-inch pan lined with parchment paper. Fold the excess parchment paper so it covers the surface of the fudge and refrigerate until cool, about 2 hours. Cut into 1-inch pieces and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
