Really really good for dipping shrimp and for raw oysters!! For a slightly unusual flavor substitute tarragon vinegar for the lemon juice.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup catsup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon horseradish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup very finely chopped celery
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
salt
cayenne

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and fold them all together on the mix cycle.
  • Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to chill before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups water
10 ounces fresh hot red chilies such as; Tabasco, Cayenne or Serrano
1 small onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
Kosher salt
1 cup white distilled vinegar

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, bring the water, chiles, onion, garlic and 1 teaspoon salt to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the vegetables are very tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Let the mixture cool to warm, then puree in a blender with the vinegar. Season with salt to taste, then place in a pint jar. Refrigerate for at least 3 weeks for optimal flavor.
