Outrageously Good Broiled Shrimp! Recipe - Food.com image

I experienced the most wonderful broiled shrimp dinner at a local restaurant and created my version which is pretty darn close to their recipe. You will absolutely love these! Prep time includes cleaning and butterflying shrimp.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb shrimp, peeled &,deveined (the bigger, the better)
2 tablespoons melted butter
garlic salt
1/4 cup unseasoned breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon dried parsley
melted butter, to drizzle

Steps:

  • Butterfly shrimp and place on non-stick baking pan or line pan with aluminum foil for easier cleanup.
  • Brush shrimp with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle lightly with garlic salt.
  • Mix together bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese and parsley.
  • Sprinkle lightly over shrimp.
  • Drizzle lightly with additional melted butter.
  • Broil until light brown.

This restaurant-style homemade shrimp fried rice is an easy lunch or dinner in 20 minutes.

Number Of Ingredients 8

½ lb. thawed shrimp (peeled, deveined, tails removed)
1 Lotus Foods Organic White Jasmine + Forbidden Rice® Blend Heat & Eat Pouch
2 tbsp sesame oil
½ medium onion (chopped)
1 tsp minced garlic
½ cup frozen peas and carrots
1 egg (beaten)
1-2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari

Steps:

  • Rinse shrimp and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Prepare rice per directions on package.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet or wok on a medium-high heat.
  • Add onion, garlic, peas and carrots. Stir fry until tender (~5 mins).
  • Lower heat to medium-low and push veggies to one side of the skillet, then pour egg on the other side. Stir fry until scrambled (~1 or 2 mins).
  • Add rice and soy sauce and blend everything together. Stir fry until heated through (~1 min).
  • Move fried rice to one side of the skillet, add a dash more oil to the empty side. Add shrimp and fry until pink and opaque (~2 mins per side), flipping over halfway through.
  • Stir shrimp into rice.
