1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1 tablespoon Land O Lakes® Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Lemon wedges, if desired
Fresh parsley sprigs, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Line rimmed baking pan with aluminum foil.
  • Place salmon into prepared pan. Sprinkle with lemon zest, salt and pepper. Divide Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt evenly among tops of salmon fillets. Pour lemon juice over top.
  • Bake, uncovered, 12-15 minutes or until salmon flakes easily with fork. Serve with lemon wedges and fresh parsley sprigs, if desired.

Smoked Salmon with Lemon Pepper Rub image

Hot smoked salmon with a lemon pepper mustard glaze absolutely melts in your mouth. Serve this flavorful dish as an easy appetizer or entree!

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 pound salmon filet
2 Tablespoons Mustard
3 Tablespoons Lemon Pepper Seasoning
1 Tablespoon Kosher Salt
Water
Wood Chunks or chips, pre-soaked, or pellets (whichever your smoker uses)

Steps:

  • Check the filet to make sure all of the pin bones have been removed.
  • Make sure the salmon filet is clean and pat dry.
  • Prepare the flesh side of the salmon with mustard and season generously with the salt and lemon pepper seasoning.
  • When the salmon is ready, put a light coating of oil on the salmon skin or spray the grates with cooking spray to prevent it from sticking to the grates. You can also place the salmon on a sheet of aluminum foil (I like to do this so I can just grab the foil when I’m removing the filet from the smoker and I don’t have to worry about tearing the fish)
  • Smoke the salmon for about 90 minutes at 225 degrees Fahrenheit, until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Once it has reached temp, carefully remove the salmon from the smoker. Allow the salmon to rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • Enjoy!
