4 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon ground red pepper

Steps:

  • Stir salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper in an airtight container, seal, and shake to combine.

1 cup water, or as needed
1 (3 pound) roasted chicken (drippings from chicken)

Steps:

  • Add water to the chicken drippings to make about 1 1/2 cups of liquid in the bottom of the roaster.n
  • Whisk water into the flour until it is thick, but not pasty. Whisk the flour/water mixture into the drippings, and put the roaster on the stove over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Add salt and pepper to taste.n
