1 cup broccoli florets
½ cup julienne-cut carrots
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon seasoned salt, or to taste

Steps:

  • Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add broccoli florets and carrots, cover, and steam until tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer vegetables to a bowl; add lemon juice and seasoned salt and toss to coat.

1 cup chopped fresh broccoli
1 cup baby carrots
3 cloves minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Put water in bottom of steamer pot and add veggies to the steamer basket. Add lid to steamer basket.
  • Bring water to a boil.
  • Steam veggies for about 10 minutes or until fork tender.
  • While veggies are steaming, add garlic, salt and olive oil to a small saute pan.
  • Saute until garlic is fragrant, 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour over steamed veggies.
  • Serve.
