Gyro comes from the Greek word gyros meaning “turn.” That makes sense, since this traditional Greek dish made of meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie. However, you can now easily make delicious beef gyros without a trip to the Mediterranean! You MultiPot Pressure Cooker creates mouth-watering beef gyros in under one hour. The perfectly cooked slices of sirloin steak, tomatoes, and lettuce are wrapped in pita bread for a quick and easy version of the Greek classic. - Stir beef, onion, beef broth, lemon juice, olive oil, oregano, garlic, salt, and pepper together in inner steel pot of pressure cooker. Lock pressure cooker lid in place and set steam vent handle to Sealing. Select Pressure Cook (Manual) and cook for 30 minutes on High pressure. Let pressure release naturally for 15 minutes, then set steam vent handle to Venting to quick-release remaining pressure. Heap beef mixture into pita bread with desired toppings.

- In a 6-qt. electric pressure cooker, combine the first 8 ingredients; add chicken. Lock lid; close pressure-release valve. Adjust to pressure-cook on high for 6 minutes. Quick-release pressure. A thermometer inserted in chicken should read at least 165°. , Remove chicken; shred with 2 forks. Return to pressure cooker. Using tongs, place chicken mixture on pita breads. Serve with toppings. Freeze option: Freeze cooled meat mixture and juices in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally and adding a little water if necessary.
