FUDGE BALLS (NO BAKE) RECIPE - FOOD.COM

Fudge Balls (No Bake) Recipe - Food.com image

Wonderful little treats, great to take to potlucks (they travel well). I have made these without using the dried fruit, and just with raisins, and they are still wonderful, but even better with the dried fruit!

Total Time 24 minutes

Prep Time 20 minutes

Cook Time 4 minutes

Yield 2 pounds candy

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 tablespoons butter
1 2/3 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup finely chopped candied pineapple or 1/2 cup dried apricot

Steps:

  • Combine butter, sugar and salt in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, cook 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly (start timing when mixture starts to bubble around the edges of pan).
  • Remove from heat; add marshmallows, chocolate chips, vanilla, walnuts, raisins and candied pineapple OR apricots.
  • Stir vigorously for 1 minute (until marshmallows melt and are blended), working quickly, drop by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
  • Store in an airtight covered container, in the fridge or out of the fridge.

CHOCOLATE PECAN FUDGE BALLS RECIPE | REAL SIMPLE
These chocolate-y fudge balls are so good, no one will be able to stop at just one. Inspired by the Brazilian treat brigadeiros, we combined sweetened condensed milk with warm cinnamon and semi-sweet chocolate for an incredibly easy fudge treat—no candy thermometer required. The toasted pecans add a wonderful texture to each bite. If you want to go the Mexican hot chocolate route, add a pinch of cayenne to the mixture while it’s heating in the saucepan. After the mixture cools, rolling the fudge balls in the crushed pecans is a great kid-friendly activity. Brush a little oil or water onto your hands to keep the mixture from sticking.

FUDGY BOURBON BALLS RECIPE - NYT COOKING
This twist on a classic rum ball recipe substitutes chocolate cookies for the usual vanilla wafers, and features bourbon rather than rum. The flavors will mellow and integrate after sitting for a few days, so the cookies will be all the better if you can plan ahead and let them ripen for three or four days. They’ll keep for up to two weeks stored at room temperature.

FUDGE BALL COOKIES | JUST A PINCH RECIPES
These are so good. If you make them, you should make a double batch. If I could eat them, I could probably down half of them! They are kind of like a fudge brownie. They have such a good flavor. Make sure you don't over bake them. I usually try to get them into balls pretty quickly because the mix starts to dry out a little. They make about 2 doz, but I make mine 1 oz, so I only get 23. You can also get the cocoa mix in cherry and also mint. And these are great with extra fine chopped pecans. You gotta try em! Hope you like them. Enjoy!
