3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the first 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat. Stir in lemon juice. Transfer to a small bowl. Refrigerate until chilled.

Remove from heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved. Stir in butter. Pour over strawberries, tossing gently to coat. Arrange over filling. Refrigerate 4 hours or until set.
