Appledoodles Recipe - Pillsbury.com image

We’re all about tradition and the tried-and-true, but when classic Snickerdoodles get a flavor twist, and that flavor twist is apple, we know that this is the cookie we’ll be baking all fall and for every holiday. Plus, we just really like to say Appledoodles.

Provided by Pillsbury Kitchens

Total Time 1 hours 45 minutes

Prep Time 25 minutes

Yield 30

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon apple pie spice
1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Sugar Cookie Dough
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup shredded and packed Granny Smith apple (about 1 medium apple)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Line two large cookie sheets with cooking parchment paper. In small bowl, mix sugar and apple pie spice.
  • In large bowl, break cookie dough into small chunks; stir in flour. (DO NOT EAT RAW COOKIE DOUGH AFTER COMBINING WITH FLOUR.) Remove excess moisture from apple by pressing with paper towels. Add apple to dough and mix well; cover and refrigerate dough 30 minutes.

  • Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until edges are light golden brown and centers are set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack.
