Not sure where I got this one originally, but it's one that we used to make frequently. A quick and simple dinner. I've also used biscuit dough from a can for the topping when I was in a severly lazy mood!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Sauté beef, onion and celery'til well browned.
- Drain grease.
- Add vegetables and soup.
- Simmer a few minutes.
- Place in a 9 x 13" baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt.
- Blend in shortening.
- Add milk and mix'til all is combined.
- Drop by full tablespoons onto meat mixture in baking dish.
- Bake for approximately 20 minutes.

This is our family version of tater tot hot dish. It's a quick, easy, and wonderful comfort food! You can also use another 1/2 can of cream of chicken soup and mix it in with the beef mixture. You can also put different veggies in, like carrots or green beans.

Steps:
- Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
- Mix the ground beef, onion, and egg together in a bowl; spread evenly into the prepared baking dish. Arrange the tater tots over the beef mixture. Pour the chicken soup over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the beef is cooked through and has reached an internal temperature of 160 degrees F (71 degrees C), about 1 hour.

TOO EASY HOT DISH | JUST A PINCH RECIPES
I cannot take credit for this recipe, but I have made it many, many times. It is always a HUGE hit. ...and it IS too easy! I love to read, and a favorite "Murder Lite" author is Joanne Fluke. This recipe appeared in her book APPLE TURNOVER MURDER. As stated in the recipe, you can use any meat you have on hand. I have used ground chicken, ground turkey, ground beef, ground pork, and even ground sausage. I use a lot of spices in mine because my family likes spicy foods (not necessarily hot, spicy) I have also used more cheese than the recipe calls for (up to 1/4 cup). I usually top it with Parmesan Cheese before baking.
Ms Fluke publishes many, many good and fun recipes in her books, and the characters become good friends.

- NOTE: I season the meat before I add it, and I season my potatoes before adding them. I don't usually add much salt, but I do add a little to the meat and potatoes. We like LOTS of garlic, so I add garlic and onions to the meat.
