DUNKIN DONUTS MUNCHKINS RECIPES

Steps:

• Cut each OREO Cookie in half
• Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in intervals of 15 seconds, stirring in between each time, until melted.
• Place a MUNCHKINS donut hole treat on a fork and then dip into the melted chocolate. Use a spoon to spread the melted chocolate evenly over it.
• Tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
• Slide the MUNCHKINS donut hole treat carefully onto parchment paper and immediately press each half of the OREO Cookie on either side
• Press and hold two edible eyes onto the MUNCHKINS donut hole treat
• Allow to dry and repeat!

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 190 C.
• Start with making your doughnuts. In a bowl, combine sugar, flour, cocoa powder before adding remaining wet ingredients.
• Once combined, fill a cake pop mould to the brim using a spoon or piping bag. Once all are filled, cover with the lid and pop into the oven to bake for 15 minutes. A fork or toothpick should come out clean when cooked. Place doughnuts on a cooling tray or flat surface for 20 minutes to cool down before glazing.
• While your doughnuts are cooling, prepare chocolate glaze by mixing sugar, cocoa powder and plant-based milk together in a bowl. You can tell it’s ready when it looks glossy and has quite a thick consistency. Set aside.
• For the coconut topping mix desiccated coconut, icing sugar, melted butter and food colouring in a bowl. This creates the vibrant orange colour that makes the infamous Dunkin' Donut butternut munchkin coating. Mix thoroughly until even. If you’re not into coconut, you can replace it with bread crumbs or other toppings of choice. Or stick with the chocolate glazing if preferred.
• Once the doughnuts have cooled, pour the chocolate glaze over or individually dip to cover with a fork. Once all glazed, roll doughnuts in the coconut topping individually until fully coated. Serve and enjoy!
