Beer Cheese Fries with Crispy Bacon Bits - Recipes.net image

Enjoy crispy cheese fries with the best beer cheese sauce! This awesome sauce is made with Velveeta and cheddar cheese with a kick from beer.

Number Of Ingredients 9

22 oz fries
8 oz grated cheddar cheese
6 oz preferrably Velveeta, cubed processed cheese
½ tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp dry mustard
¾ cup of choice beer
6 cooked and crumbled strips bacon
chopped parsley

Steps:

  • Cook the fries according to the package instructions and set them aside.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, add the beer, pepper, and dry mustard.
  • Slowly bring the contents of the saucepan to a simmer and add the cheese a little at a time. Make sure to stir and melt each portion of cheese before adding more.
  • Once all the cheese is melted, add in the Worcestershire sauce. Simmer briefly for 5 minutes to thicken.
  • To assemble the fries, lay them out on a large platter then top them with cheese sauce.
  • Lastly, top your fries with crumbled bacon, parsley, and serve. Enjoy!
