My family's favorite chicken recipe. Easy to prepare and easy to grill.

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
¾ cup soy sauce
¾ cup orange juice
? cup olive oil
? cup ketchup
? cup chopped fresh parsley
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 teaspoons lemon juice
1?½ teaspoons dried oregano
1?½ teaspoons ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Rinse chicken thighs and pat dry between paper towels. Transfer to a 1-gallon freezer bag.
  • Combine soy sauce, orange juice, olive oil, ketchup, parsley, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined. Pour marinade over chicken thighs in the freezer bag. Squeeze out excess air, seal the bag, and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, up to 24 hours.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Remove chicken thighs from the marinade and shake off excess. Discard the remaining marinade.
  • Grill chicken in a single layer until no longer pink in the center, 5 to 7 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs

Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

butter

2 tbsp.

balsamic vinegar

1/3 c.

honey

cloves garlic, peeled and crushed

Canola oil, for greasing

Chopped chives, for garnish

Chopped parsley, for garnish

Lemon wedges, for garnish

Steps:

  • Place the chicken thighs on a large plate and sprinkle with salt and pepper on all sides. Work the seasoning into the chicken. Let sit, in the refrigerator, for at least an hour.  Meanwhile, make the glaze: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the vinegar, honey, and garlic and stir until the honey has dissolved. Season with salt and pepper. Set near the grill.  Serve with lemon wedges and garnish with chives and parsley.

Close the bag and turn it to coat chicken. Marinate at least 30 minutes. Preheat grill to medium. Make drainage holes in sheets of Reynolds Wrap Non-Stick Foil with a large grilling fork. Place foil sheets with holes on grill rack with non-stick (dull) side towards food; immediately place chicken on foil. Grill chicken 5 minutes; turn. Continue grilling and turning every 5 minutes until chicken is tender and reaches 180°F, for about 30 minutes.
