2 lb beef steak chunks
2 bags (11.8 oz each) frozen backyard grilled potatoes, thawed
1 bag (12 oz) frozen broccoli florets, thawed
2 jars (16 oz each) four cheese sauce
1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Flaky Layers Original Biscuits (8 Count)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • In 10-inch nonstick sauté pan or skillet, cook beef over medium heat 10 to 12 minutes or until browned and thoroughly cooked. Remove from heat; place beef in large bowl.
  • Add thawed potatoes and broccoli; toss until evenly distributed. Pour mixture into ungreased 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish; spread evenly.
  • Pour cheese sauce evenly over beef and vegetables in dish. Separate dough into 8 biscuits; arrange evenly over top.
  • Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Serve immediately.

1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into 4 serving pieces
3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic-pepper blend
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups frozen bell pepper and onion stir-fry (from 1-lb bag)
1 bag (1 lb 4 oz) refrigerated home-style potato slices
1 cup shredded American-Cheddar cheese blend (4 oz)

Steps:

  • Sprinkle beef pieces with 1/4 teaspoon of the seasoned salt and 1/4 teaspoon of the garlic-pepper blend. In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes, turning once or twice, until brown and desired doneness. Remove from skillet; keep warm.
  • In same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook stir-fry vegetables in butter 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add potatoes; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt and 1/4 teaspoon garlic-pepper blend. Cook uncovered 8 to 10 minutes, stirring frequently, until tender.
  • Place beef in skillet with potatoes, pushing potatoes around beef. Cook 1 to 2 minutes, turning beef once, until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and heat until cheese is melted.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar, hash brown potatoes and the onion mixture. Transfer to a greased three-quart casserole dish. Cover the casserole and bake for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, place the remaining 6 tablespoons of butter in a small bowl. Cover and microwave for 45 to 60 seconds until melted. If you add the green beans and onions, it tastes a lot like the holiday green bean casserole. The pork steak is a delicious blend of flavors either way! I have a VERY PICKY 13 year old son who hates mushrooms or mushroom soup, and won't even eat green bean casserole, but LOVED this dish because he didn't realize it had mushroom soup in it. He even asked for seconds, then wanted the left-overs the next day. Hubby said this was one of the BEST casseroles I had ever made. No leftovers for the son, as hubby had already eaten it for breakfast the next morning! If you have never cooked with pork steak before, as I hadn't till I tried this recipe, try this. You will be surprised how EASY and TASTY this is! FIVE STARS for my family! Quick to throw together after work... about 15 minutes.... then relax for a little over an hour, and supper is ready!!! My pork steak was even frozen when I first found this recipe, and so I defrosted the meat package a little bit in microwave and then sliced the meat up while still half frozen. Worked well. I will make this again as I can keep the ingredients on hand, and even if the meat is frozen, I can still make it quickly.

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick spray and set aside.Peel and spiralize sweet potatoes, chopping just a bit to shorten very long strands. If you don't have a spiralizer, just dice the sweet potato into small cubes. Set aside.In an extra-large skillet over medium to medium-high heat, brown beef with onion, breaking up any large chunks and stirring occasionally. When the pink color is almost gone from the beef, stir in garlic and cook for another 2 minutes. Stir in red pepper, corn, and sweet potato. Then add the beans, tomatoes, salsa, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper, folding to combine. Turn heat down just a bit to medium and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring a few times. If you are using diced sweet potatoes rather than spiralized, you will need to cook this a bit longer. Remove foil, place pan under broiler, and broil until cheese is browned to your liking. Remove from oven and top with optional green onion and/or cilantro. Serve immediately with optional sour cream, guacamole, and/or salsa on the side.
