Halloween Candy Corn Jell-O® Shots Recipe | Allrecipes image

The seasonal treat that inspires strong feelings - love 'em or hate 'em - in a boozy shot form. This version goes for a triple shot, so shoot responsibly. Serve with candy corn on the side. Cheers!

1?½ cups boiling water, divided
1 (3 ounce) package lemon-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
2 cups vodka, divided
ice cubes
1 (3 ounce) package orange-flavored gelatin mix (such as Jell-O®)
2 tablespoons warm water
1 (.25 ounce) envelope unflavored gelatin
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
½ cup light rum

Steps:

  • Pour 3/4 cup boiling water into a small bowl. Add lemon gelatin mix; stir until dissolved. Pour 1 cup vodka into a glass measuring cup; add enough ice to make 1 1/4 cup. Stir into lemon gelatin until slightly thickened; remove any unmelted ice. Fill tall shot glasses 1/3 of the way with lemon gelatin mixture.
  • Refrigerate until lemon gelatin layer is set, at least 90 minutes.
  • Pour remaining 3/4 cup boiling water into the small bowl. Add orange gelatin mix; stir until dissolved. Pour remaining 1 cup vodka into a glass measuring cup; add enough ice to make 1 1/4 cup. Stir into orange gelatin until slightly thickened; remove any unmelted ice. Pour over lemon gelatin layer.
  • Refrigerate until orange gelatin layer is set, at least 90 minutes.
  • Pour 2 tablespoons warm water into a bowl. Add unflavored gelatin; stir until dissolved. Stir in condensed milk and rum. Pour over orange gelatin layer.
  • Refrigerate until top layer is set, at least 30 minutes.

1 tube (4.25 oz) chocolate decorating icing
6 chocolate-covered marshmallow pinwheel cookies
6 oatmeal cookies (about 3-inch diameter)
6 small star-shaped pretzels or pretzel twists
48 corn candies (about 3 oz)
6 miniature milk chocolate-covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped
2 red gummi worm candies
1 tube (4.25 oz) white decorating icing

Steps:

  • Squeeze chocolate icing on bottom of each oatmeal cookie. Attach 1 marshmallow cookie even with 1 edge of each oatmeal cookie to resemble body and fan of tail.
  • At area where 2 cookie edges meet, squeeze about 1/2 teaspoon chocolate icing onto marshmallow cookie; attach pretzel to resemble feet. Squeeze chocolate icing on each oatmeal cookie about halfway around marshmallow cookie; firmly press corn candy into icing to resemble feathers.
  • With small amount of icing, attach 1 corn candy to each peanut butter cup to resemble beak. Cut each gummi worm in half lengthwise and crosswise. Squeeze chocolate icing around each corn candy beak; wrap 1 gummi piece around top of each beak to resemble wattle, pressing firmly. Pipe small dots of white and chocolate icing on each peanut butter cup for eyes.
  • Squeeze chocolate icing on largest flat side of each peanut butter cup; place over center opening of each marshmallow cookie to resemble head, pressing firmly.
