Number Of Ingredients 3

2 egg whites, beaten
1 c. of Hy-Vee panko bread crumbs
1 (12 oz) pkg Hy-Vee frozen beef meatballs

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. In separate bowls, place egg whites and bread crumbs. Dip frozen meatballs in egg whites followed by breadcrumbs. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

2 stale White rolls
1 onion
1 garlic
4 tablespoons clarified butter
800 grams mixed Ground meat
2 eggs
1 teaspoon sharp Mustard
1 tablespoon freshly chopped marjoram
salt
freshly ground peppers
breadcrumbs (to tack)

Steps:

  • Soak the rolls in some lukewarm water. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Heat 1 tablespoon of clarified butter in a skillet and saute the onion and garlic until translucent. Remove from the heat, transfer to a large bowl and let cool. Add the ground meat, eggs and mustard. Squeeze the bread and shred it and add to the bowl along with the marjoram, season with salt and pepper and knead well. Shape into 8 slightly flat meatballs and roll in the breadcrumbs, pressing to adhere.
  • Heat the remaining butter in a large, skillet and saute the meatballs over medium heat until browned all over, 1-2 minutes per side. Reduce the heat and saute until cooked through, 4-5 minutes.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve.
