- Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Mash the figs as they soften, and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and let cool before use.
- Combine the ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake until cold. Strain over ice in a whiskey glass.

Steps:
- 1. Muddle figs in a shaker.
- 2. Add Basil Hayden® Bourbon, lime juice and simple syrup to shaker and shake with ice.
- 3. Strain into a coupe glass and top with ground cloves.

- Muddle fig, mint leaves, and brown sugar cubes against sides of a cocktail shaker. (Fig needs to be fairly broken down.) Add bourbon and enough ice cubes to fill shaker (about 1 cup). Cover with lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled (about 30 seconds). Strain into a 10-oz. glass filled with ice cubes. Top with chilled ginger ale. Stir gently, and garnish, if desired. Serve immediately.
