Steps:
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar. Add the oil and mix well.
- Pour the soda into the yogurt and leave it to activate. Add the yogurt to the mixture and mix well again.
- Clean, peel and grate the apple.
- Mix the baking powder with the flour and sift it. Add the flour to the mixture and mix, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
- Divide the mixture into two parts. Add the cocoa in one part and the apple in the other.
- In a sponge cake tin, which has been greased and sprinkled with flour in advance, pour the white mixture. Pour the brown and the white again on top.
- You can stir lightly with a stick to blend the layers.
- Place it in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) and bake the sponge cake for about 45 minutes.
- Check the sponge cake with a toothpick, in order to see if its ready. Take it out and leave it to cool.
- When its ready, remove it from the cake tin and sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
