Number Of Ingredients 6

3 prosciutto, slices
6 shallots (or 2 onions)
2 ounces blue cheese
2 tablespoons raspberry vinegar (or red wine)
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
salt & pepper

Steps:

  • Peel and chop shallots.
  • Melt butter in a frying pan over low heat. (Be careful it doesn’t get brown, it’s very bad for health.).
  • When butter has melt, add chopped shallots. Leave covered, stirring frequently, for about 10 minutes or until translucent.
  • Add sugar and stir. Let shallots caramelize for a couple of minutes, then add raspberry vinegar. At that time, you should probably go for medium heat. It’s important when adding alcohol to get it to a smooth boil so the strong taste evaporates. When the strong smell is gone, you’re done. Take pan off heat.
  • Cut prosciutto into small pieces.
  • Dice blue cheese.
  • Fill the bottom of your Chinese soup spoons with caramelized shallots. Add a dice of blue cheese and top with prosciutto pieces.
  • Serve right away.

Easy to make and so yummy! These can be made ahead of time and stored. People can't get enough of these.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 (13 2/3 ounce) box Club crackers
1 lb of thinly sliced bacon
3/4 cup brown sugar or 3/4 cup parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Take a cracker and place a small spoon of brown sugar or Parmesan on top and then you wrap half the slice of bacon around the cracker.
  • Place the wrapped crakers on a baking sheet. I also put foil down first so the crackers are easier to remove.
  • Cook in the oven for 2 hours at 250 degrees.
  • Let them cool down for about 10 mins before trying to get out of the baking sheet. They can be delicate when they are hot and break easy.
  • You can store them in the freezer or just a container if going to eat sooner. A great appetizer to start off a nice dinner for any occasion.
