CHICKEN WITH AMCHUR – PACHAKAM.COM - TAMIL RECIPES

Chicken with mango powder and other ingredients

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 kg Chicken (cleaned and chopped)
3 nos Onion (finely sliced, big)
2 nos Tomatoes (chopped)
Ginger (garlic paste - 1 tbsp)
3 tbsp Mango/Amchur powder
1 tbsp Chilly powder
1 tsp Garam masala
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 no Chicken soup cube
2 springs Curry leaves
5 springs Coriander leaves (chopped)
Sesame oil (As reqd)
Salt (As reqd)

Steps:

  • For preparing chicken with amchur, heat the sesame oil in a vessel.
  • Saute the onions till it becomes transparent.
  • Add in ginger-garlic paste and chicken soup cube. Saute for 2 minutes on low flame.
  • Then add chilly powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and salt(if required).
  • Toss in the tomatoes, curry leaves and amchur powder. Saute for 5 minutes on low flame till it becomes pulpy.
  • Stir in the chicken pieces. Mix it well, cover the pan and allow it to cook.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. Mix it well and remove it from the flame.
  • Chicken with amchur is ready. Serve hot with bread, chapatti, porotta etc.
