6 cups sliced overripe pears
½ cup white sugar
? cup all-purpose flour
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ stick butter, melted
½ cup sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Butter or spray a deep-dish pie plate.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the pears, sugar, flour and cinnamon.
  • Pour mixture into pie plate and spread out in an even layer.
  • Cover with a single piece of aluminum foil.
  • Make sure the pears are in a single layer.
  • Crumble the butter over the pears and sprinkle with almonds, then bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  • Let cool slightly before serving (if you can wait that long).
