- Preheat and grease a waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl. Whisk buttermilk, yogurt, butter, eggs, and sugar together in a separate bowl; stir into flour mixture until batter is smooth. Fold strawberries into batter.
- Pour about 1/3 cup batter into preheated waffle iron; cook until lightly browned, 5 to 7 minutes. Repeat with remaining batter.

- Preheat your waffle iron. Stir together the flour, salt, baking soda, and sugar. Whisk together the eggs, half and half, butter, and extract. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the egg mixture. Use a fork to stir everything together. Do not over mix the batter. Stir in the diced strawberries gently. Spray the waffle iron with nonstick spray and drop large spoonfuls of batter onto the heated iron. Cook the batter for 4 minutes or until the waffles are golden brown.
