Steps:
- Trim 12 paper muffin cup liners to half of their height.
- Place 1/2 chocolate chips in a microwave safe container. Microwave for 2 minutes, stirring after each minute. Spoon melted chocolate into muffin cups, filling halfway. With a spoon, draw the chocolate up the sides of the cups until evenly coated. Cool in the refrigerator until firm.
- In a small bowl, mix together peanut butter, confectioners' sugar and salt. divide into the chocolate cups. Melt the remaining chocolate, and spoon over peanut butter. Spread chocolate to edges of cups.

- In a mixing bowl, cream the shortening and peanut butter. Add the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix well.
- Combine oats, flour, baking soda, and salt; add to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Drop by the rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with fork. Bake for 12 minutes or until done.

After reading all the reviews I set out to make these Peanut butter cups and they were delicious and easy. the only change I made was I did two batches one with untrimmed paper cups, and one using only bare muffin tins. Many reviews mentioned paper cups sticking to the chocolate, this issue is solved by not trimming the cups.
