SPICY CHINESE PORK TENDERLOIN RECIPE - FOOD.COM

Spicy Chinese Pork Tenderloin Recipe - Food.com image

This easy recipe is one of my favorite dinners for company. Leaving out the red pepper flakes, makes it a dish for anyone. Presented on a platter over rice, it looks very appealing. It is equally as good made on the grill, or in the oven. It originally came from a syndicated column in our local newspaper. Prep time includes marinading.

Total Time 1 hours 38 minutes

Prep Time 1 hours 10 minutes

Cook Time 28 minutes

Yield 4-5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 tablespoons sugar
3 crushed garlic cloves
1 dash red pepper flakes, to taste
2 (3/4 lb) pork tenderloin, about (not pork loin)
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter
6 green onions, green tops included, sliced into rings
hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • In heavy duty freezer Ziploc bag, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oil, garlic, sugar and red pepper flakes.
  • Add tenderloins and stir to coat all over.
  • Seal and refrigerate at least 1 to 3 hours, turning bag over occasionally.
  • Preheat oven to 500°F.
  • Line small roasting pan with foil.
  • Spray a cooling or cooking rack with nonstick spray, and place on top of pan.
  • Place tenderloins on rack.
  • SAVE MARINADE.
  • Place meat in preheated oven.
  • Roast 9 to 10 minutes.
  • Turn and roast 9 to 10 minutes more.
  • Check temperature in thickest part of meat.
  • It should read approx 160°F.
  • Remove from oven, and allow meat to stand 8 minutes.
  • Meanwhile pour marinade from bag into saucepan.
  • Rinse the bag with the 1/2 cup of water.
  • Add to saucepan.
  • Bring to low boil.
  • Boil slowly for 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Right before ready to serve, add butter to sauce; stir.
  • Slice meat into 1/4 inch slices.
  • Place on hot rice.
  • Spoon marinade sauce over meat and rice.
  • Top with green onions.
  • Note: This can be cooked on the grill also.
  • Cook until temperature reaches 150 to 160°F.
  • You can also cook in oven for 6 minutes each side, and then toss on a gas grill for a few minutes for a outdoor flavor.

SPICY CHINESE PORK FOR THE CROCK POT RECIPE - FOOD.COM

Spicy Chinese Pork for the Crock Pot Recipe - Food.com image

This pork comes out tender and delicious, and the sauce has a great combo of sweet and spicy flavors. This is great with fried rice or just plain white rice. (I used a 5 quart crock pot for this recipe) Enjoy!

Total Time 3 hours 15 minutes

Prep Time 15 minutes

Cook Time 3 hours

Yield 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 14

3 lbs pork tenderloin, cut in bite sized chunks
12 ounces fresh button mushrooms, quartered
1 cup leek, thinly sliced (washed well first, as they can be sandy)
2 cups carrots, cut into rounds (I like to cut them on the bias to look pretty & you don't need to peel them)
2 (8 ounce) cans water chestnuts, sliced
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1/2 cup orange marmalade
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/8 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over med/high heat.
  • Saute the tenderloin chunks quickly for about 5 minutes(watching them closely to not burn the outsides of the meat) to get some color on them. This will get rid of a little fat and liquid from the meat as well.
  • With a slotted spoon, scoop out the meat and place in your slow cooker, discard any fat or liquid from the meat cooking.
  • Add the mushrooms, leeks, carrots, water chestnuts, and garlic to your slow cooker also.
  • In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the orange marmalade, chili sauce, hoisin sauce, dry sherry, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper.
  • Pour sauce mixture over the ingredients in the slow cooker, and stir to coat everything well.
  • Cover with lid, put your slow cooker on High and cook for 2 1/2 hours.
  • After 2 1/2 hours, mix the cornstarch and water in a small cup until smooth, and add it to the mixture in your slow cooker.
  • Stir for a couple minutes, until you see the sauce thicken slightly, then close lid again and let cook on High for another 30 minutes.

SPICY GUOJIANG SLIPPERY PORK LIVER RECIPE - SIMPLE CHINESE ...
I don’t really like to eat pork liver. It’s hard to get on the table several times a year because it’s hard to accept the smell of pork liver, but I can’t skip it at all. I’m used to eating pork liver and white water. Dear friends, you can try to change the taste. In Chongqing, the general pork liver is made with pickled peppers, but it can be greasy after eating for a long time. Today, Xiaoyun’s innovative heavy-flavored pork liver is really good to be honest. It's delicious, not fishy at all, with a bit of spicy and numb flavor. I am afraid of being a king of the specific taste, but I strongly recommend that those who are interested must try it!
