Super easy spaghetti o's casserole - Recipe Petitchef image

This is an easy dish that you can prepare for a dinner or whatever.

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 cans regular spaghetti o's
(or 1 large can + 1 small)
1 - libra ground beef
1/2 of a onion, chopped
Paula Deens house seasoning, Emeriles essence or just salt/pepper (to your taste)
2 cups mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup Parmesan or Romano cheese

Steps:

  • Cook ground beef with onion until browned.
  • Drain off grease and add seasoning. Add the ground beef to the bottom a 8x8 in size casserole dish.
  • Add Parmesan cheese on top of the meat.
  • Then add all three cans of spaghetti o's and top with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 for about 30 minutes until casserole is nice and bubbly.
  • Serve with french bread, Texas garlic toast and a salad.

Kosher salt
1 pound dried spaghetti, such as DeCecco
1/3 cup good olive oil
8 large garlic cloves, cut into thin slivers
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add 2 tablespoons of salt and the pasta and cook according to the directions on the package. Set aside 1 1/2 cups of the pasta cooking water before you drain the pasta.
  • Meanwhile, heat the olive oil over medium heat in a pot large enough to hold the pasta, such as a 12-inch saute pan or a large, shallow pot. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes, stirring frequently, until it just begins to turn golden on the edges-don't overcook it! Add the red pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds more. Carefully add the reserved pasta-cooking water to the garlic and oil and bring to a boil. Lower the heat, add 1 teaspoon of salt, and simmer for about 5 minutes, until the liquid is reduced by about a third.
  • Add the drained pasta to the garlic sauce and toss. Off the heat, add the parsley and Parmesan and toss well. Allow the pasta to rest off the heat for 5 minutes for the sauce to be absorbed. Taste for seasoning and serve warm with extra Parmesan on the side.

You can sort of figure on one egg per person to determine how much dough to make. Example: Two eggs and one cup of flour would make enough pasta dough for a dinner for two.When you’re ready, roll it out on a floured surface as thinly as it’ll go. The noodles will plump up quite a bit when they boil in the water, so the thinner you can roll it, the better. Cut the noodles really thin. You can use a sharp knife (if you can keep it in a straight line), a pizza wheel, or a long pizza/bread cutter. To cook the noodles, just boil them in salted water (very important!) for probably two minutes. They cook lightning fast, so don’t let ‘em go too long.
