1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Grands!™ Southern Homestyle Buttermilk Biscuits (8 Count)
2 tablespoons butter
1 lb (1/2-inch thick) boneless ham steak, cut in 8 pieces
1/2 cup brewed coffee
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Bake biscuits as directed on can.
  • Meanwhile, in 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add ham; cook 2 to 4 minutes or until browned. Turn; cook 2 to 4 minutes longer or until browned on second side and heated through. Using tongs, transfer ham to plate; cover to keep warm.
  • Stir coffee, water and sugar into drippings in skillet over medium-high heat. Cook 6 to 8 minutes, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens slightly and reduces to about 1/4 cup. Split warm biscuits; top bottoms with ham. Evenly drizzle with gravy; add biscuit tops.

Steps:

  • Heat grease, add flour and sugar until dissolved and incorporated with ham grease. Add water, coffee and bullion cube, stir until gravy is well blended. Turn down heat and cook for 1 minute, add butter and cook for 1 minute longer. Serve immediately with hot biscuits or grits.
