- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Butter or spray a deep-dish pie plate.
- In a large bowl, mix together the pears, sugar, flour and cinnamon.
- Pour mixture into pie plate and spread out in an even layer.
- Cover with a single piece of aluminum foil.
- Make sure the pears are in a single layer.
- Crumble the butter over the pears and sprinkle with almonds, then bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown on top.
- Let cool slightly before serving (if you can wait that long).
