APPLE-STUFFED PORK CHOPS RECIPE: HOW TO MAKE IT

Steps:
- In a small skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Remove from the heat; add the bread cubes, apples, celery, parsley and 1/4 teaspoon salt. , Cut a pocket in each chop by making a horizontal cut through the meat almost to the bone. Sprinkle inside and outside with pepper and remaining salt. Spoon stuffing loosely into pockets. , In a large skillet, brown the chops on both sides in oil. Place in an ungreased large baking pan. Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Uncover; bake 30 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 145°. Let meat stand for 5 minutes before serving.

- Place potatoes and water in a microwave-safe dish. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes or until almost tender; drain., Place potatoes in a 13x9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with garlic, salt and pepper. Top with pork chops and marinara sauce. Cover and bake at 350° until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145° and potatoes are tender, 40-45 minutes., Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, until cheese is melted, 3-5 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Sprinkle pork chops with seasoned salt. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Brown pork chops in batches., In a large bowl, combine soup, milk, sour cream, salt and pepper; stir in hash browns, 3/4 cup cheese and half of the onions. Spread into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Arrange pork chops on top. , Cover and bake 40 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with the remaining cheese and onions. Bake, uncovered, until a thermometer inserted in pork reads 145°, 5-10 minutes longer. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
