Don’t you get tired of your simple usual bread sometimes? We do. If you do too, and you have 40 minutes to spare, we’ll show you how to make your own pita bread. You’ll use two types of olives, olive oil, and rosemary. And you won't be sorry.

Number Of Ingredients 9

12 ounces of flour
1 teaspoon active dry yeast
salt
1 teaspoon sugar
½ cup warm water
4 tablespoons of olive oil
4 ounces of kalamata olive, pitted
4 ounces of black olive, pitted
fresh rosemary

Steps:

  • Add the flour, dry yeast, and sugar to the dough mixer bowl. Season with salt and start mixing. Gradually add the warm water and 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Keep mixing until you have a dough.
  • Line a baking tray with parchment paper and transfer the dough on it. Sprinkle with a little olive oil and stretch it.
  • Top with olives and rosemary, sprinkle with olive oil, season with salt, then bake for 20 minutes at 380°F/190°C.

I searched for months for a recipe that tastes the same if not better than the store-bought pita chips. After many attempts, I found what everyone seems to think are perfect pita chips! They take barely any time to prepare and go great with spinach artichoke dip! Add Italian seasoning, herbs, or Parmesan cheese for a twist!

1 package pita pockets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon garlic salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Brush one side of each piece pita pocket with olive oil. Sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, and garlic salt over the pita pockets. Slice each pocket into 4 even triangles.
  • Bake in preheated oven until the triangles turn a light brown color, 15 to 20 minutes.
