Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Loaf Recipe - Pillsbury.com image

Stuffed with cheese and brushed with a garlic butter, this bread will be your new supper sidekick.

1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original French Bread
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
4 oz Monterey Jack cheese, cut into small squares

Steps:

  • Spray large cookie sheet with cooking spray. Remove dough from can. Twist dough into a long log; place on cookie sheet. Cover with plastic wrap; let stand while oven is heating. Heat oven to 350°F.
  • When oven is heated, remove plastic wrap from dough. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, in small cup or bowl, mix melted butter and garlic.
  • Remove bread from oven. Immediately brush garlic butter over bread. Sprinkle evenly with parsley. Cool 15 minutes before slicing.
  • When bread is cool, cut 1-inch slits crosswise and three-fourths of the way down into bread; do not cut all the way through. Insert 1 square of cheese into each slit.
  • Return bread to oven; bake 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from oven. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (2 oz)
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 can (12 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Flaky Layers Buttermilk Biscuits (10 Count)
12 cubes (1/2 inch each) Cheddar, Monterey Jack or mozzarella cheese (about 4 oz)
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 cup pizza sauce, heated, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 9-inch round pan with cooking spray. In small bowl, stir Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until well mixed.
  • Separate dough into 12 biscuits; flatten each into 2 1/2-inch round. Place 1 cheese cube in center of each biscuit round. Bring dough up around cheese cube; press edges to seal; shape into ball. Roll in butter, then in Parmesan cheese mixture. Place seam-side down 1/4 inch apart in pan.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly; serve warm with pizza sauce.

These are great for an appetizer or double the recipe and serve with a salad for dinner. They are gobbled up very quickly! Cooking time is approximate. I use a glass pie plate to bake in so I can see how the bottom of the biscuits are browning up. The top will get done before the bottom so I place an aluminum foil tent over it after around 8-10 minutes depending how brown the cheese is getting.
