This is a liver lover's dream loaf. Very easy to put together.

Number Of Ingredients 1

1 1/2 pounds pork liver 1/2 pound bacon 3 large eggs 1/4 cup ketchup 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup bread crumbs 1 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, pressed 1 envelope (40 gram) dry onion soup mix 1 teaspoon ground savoury 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1/8 teaspoon ground pepper

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients in food processor and pulse until pureed Generously grease a loaf pan and pour the mixture in pan. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 1/2 hours, until cooked through, or until meat thermometer inserted into the center of the loaf reads 170 degrees. Allow cooling for 15 minutes before removing from pan. Slice and serve.

1/2 c Dry white wine
3/4 lb Liver
4 tb Chopped fresh sage
2 tb Garlic minced
2 Eggs
1/4 ts Black Pepper freshly ground
1/2 lb Bacon; diced

Steps:

  • "Call this an American pate, if you like. Serve it with sour pickles, brown mustard and pumpernickel bread. COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS in a glass bowl, cover and refrigerate overnight. The next day, grind the mixture twice using a meat grinder fitted with a large die. Or pulse until well combined, but not too smooth, in a food processor. Place the mixture in a loaf pan, cover tightly, place the loaf pan in a water bath, and place in preheated 375F oven until done, about 1 1/4 hours. Remove from the oven, unmold and serve immediately. Or place the loaf under a 3-pound weight, let cool to room temperature and then chill in refrigerator before serving. "
