2 oz Tequila
1.5 oz Limoncello
2 oz Lemon juice
2 oz Simple syrup
Salt, lemon slices ((for garnish))

Steps:

  • Dip the rim of a margarita glass into simple syrup, then into the salt
  • Shake all ingredients with ice, pour into prepared glass

This limoncello margarita takes the classic tequila cocktail and gives it an Italian twist.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 ounces tequila blanco or reposado
1 1/2 ounces limoncello
2/3 ounce lemon juice
2/3 ounce lime juice
2/3 ounce Cointreau
1 tablespoon limeade concentrate
Kosher or sea salt for the rim of the glass

Steps:

  • Combine all of the ingredients except the salt into an ice filled shaker or tall glass.
  • Shake or stir until well chilled. 
  • Run a lime wedge over the edge of the glass and dip the rim in the salt. Fill with ice if you are serving the margarita on the rocks. 
  • Pour the margarita mixture into the glass and serve.
