SEAWEED CHIPS RECIPE - SIMPLE CHINESE FOOD

Seaweed Chips recipe - Simple Chinese Food image

I have always liked eating Japanese seaweed snacks. Fortunately, I ate this snack at a vegetarian party not long ago. I also tried and learned to cook a lot of vegetarian dishes. A carnivore like me was completely overwhelmed. It turns out that vegetarian food can be so delicious.

Provided by Lily's Kitchen

Total Time 15 minutes

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 5

5 sheets Seaweed
5 sheets Spring roll wrapper
50 grams Flour
5 grams Vegetable essence
3 grams salt

Steps:

  • Mix flour, vegetable extract, salt and a small amount of water, and stir to form a viscous batter.
  • Spread the batter evenly on the spring roll wrappers.
  • Spread the seaweed on the spring roll skin.
  • Cut the prepared seaweed cake into small pieces of even size.
  • I prefer small and crispy ones, so I cut them into small triangles so that they fry faster.
  • Heat the oil to 180 degrees, put the small pieces into the pan and fry, taking care not to stick the small pieces together.
  • Wait until the seaweed cake becomes a roll, and it will be out of the pan after it changes color.
  • After cooling, it can be packed in a fresh-keeping box as a snack or pre-dinner snack, which is nutritious and healthy.

SESAME SEAWEED SNACKS RECIPE | MYRECIPES

Sesame Seaweed Snacks Recipe | MyRecipes image

Prized for its oceany umami flavor in sushi and miso soup—and now a popular packaged snack item—nori is dried Japanese seaweed that offers new possibilities for cooks. Its papery texture makes it easy to crisp in the oven and crumble over veggie sides, noodle bowls, and stir-fries for a little briny kick. These are easy, portable snacks that kids and adults will love. If you need a salty fix, replace potato chips with these briny, crispy nori sheets toasted in the oven. They can last up to four days in an airtight container so they are a great road trip snack.

Provided by Ann Taylor Pittman

Yield Serves 4 (serving size: 18 pieces)

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
12 (8-inch) nori sheets
.38 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Arrange 2 oven racks near center of oven. Preheat oven to 250°F. Gently brush toasted sesame oil onto nori sheets; sprinkle evenly with salt. Arrange nori, salt side up, directly on 2 oven racks (6 sheets per rack). Bake at 250°F for 35 to 40 minutes or until crisp. Cool nori; cut each sheet into 6 pieces. Store in an airtight container up to 4 days.
