Strawberry Applesauce Recipe | Foodtalk image

Provided by Koti Beth Designs

Total Time 35 minutes

Prep Time 15 minutes

Cook Time 20 minutes

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 3

5 gala apples or apples of choice
4 cups of strawberries pitted
3 tablespoons of honey to taste

Steps:

  • Peel, remove the core, and slice the apples into wedges and place in the Instant Pot liner. Add sliced hulled strawberries and honey or sweetener if desired. Add water until the fruit is submerged.
  • Place the lid on the Instant Pot and set the pressure valve to seal. Cook on high pressure for 6 minutes. Let naturally release.
  • Use a stick blender to blend the strawberry applesauce. You can also transfer to a blender, but it will be hot. Let cool and serve.
  • Peel and core the apples, then slice and set in the Crock Pot liner. Add sliced and hulled strawberries. Add 2 cups of water and honey if desired. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on high heat for 4 hours.
  • Remove the lid and stir the applesauce until smooth. If it's too thin, cook on high with the lid off to remove excess water. You can use a stick blender if desired. Let cool and enjoy.
  • Peel and core the apples. Place sliced apples and sliced and hulled strawberries in a large pot. Add two cups of water and honey if desired.
  • Cover and cook the applesauce with strawberries over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Then use a stick blender to blend. If the applesauce is too thick, let cook without the lid until it reaches the desired thickness.
