Spiced salted edamame recipe - Simple Chinese Food image

Edamame is also called vegetable soybean, which is a vegetable soybean that is specially eaten with tender pods in soybean crops. Edamame is actually a fresh soybean with a pod. Edamame is an annual crop with thick stems and fine hairs. Its pods are flat and there are fine hairs on the pods, so they are called edamame. When fresh, the pods are tender green, verdant and lovely. It is sweet, calm in nature, non-toxic; it can get rid of evil spirits, relieve pain and reduce edema. It can remove stomach heat, clear blood stasis, and detoxify drugs; but if you eat too much, it will slip the spleen.

250 grams Edamame
1 Chives
3 slices Sliced ginger
3 tsp salt
1 Bay leaf
1 piece Cinnamon
1 petal star anise
2 petals Dried chili
a little MSG

Steps:

  • Prepare edamame and condiments
  • Wash and drain the edamame
  • Cut off both ends for easy taste
  • Pour edamame and seasoning into the pot and add appropriate amount of water
  • Cover and boil over high heat, add 3 teaspoons of salt
  • Turn to low heat and simmer for 8~10 minutes, then sprinkle a little MSG.
