Total Time 60 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 7

Granulated sugar (for caramel sauce) 1 tablespoon
Water (for caramel sauce) 2 tsp
Egg (whole egg) 1 piece
Egg (yolk only) 1 piece
Granulated sugar (for pudding liquid) 2 tablespoons
milk 140ml
Vanilla extract 5 or 6 drops

Steps:

  • Put granulated sugar and water in a frying pan and heat over low heat. The point is to tilt the frying pan a little. When it turns amber, soak the bottom of the frying pan in a bowl of water to lower the temperature of the caramel. Put it back on the stove again, add 1 teaspoon of water and put it on low heat without lighting. Pour the finished caramel sauce into a container.
  • Bring milk and eggs to room temperature in advance. Put 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk in a bowl, add granulated sugar and mix slowly to cut the white meat. Add milk and vanilla extract and mix gently. Pour the pudding liquid into the container of 1) while filtering.
  • Wrap the entire container in aluminum foil. Fill the pot with enough water to immerse the pudding container in half, put the container in it, heat it over medium heat, and wait until it boils. When it boils, turn off the heat, cover and wait 40 minutes.
  • Remove the container from the pan and wait until the heat is removed. When the heat is removed, wrap it in aluminum foil and chill it in the refrigerator for about 3 hours to complete.
