Wow! These peanuts are addicting! They are easy to make and would be great for a party. Make sure to drain very well after cooking or they will be greasy. The recipe comes from the Betty Crocker Christmas cookbook.

2 teaspoons vegetable oil
2 cups unsalted peanuts
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt, use more if you like

Steps:

  • In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Stir in the peanuts, chili powder, and red pepper.
  • Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until peanuts are warm. Drain well on paper towels.
  • Sprinkle garlic salt over peanuts and toss to combine. Cool completely.
  • May be stored in a tightly covered container at room temperature.

4 tablespoons peanut butter
4 tablespoons hot water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1?½ tablespoons brown sugar
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1?½ teaspoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl combine peanut butter and water; mix until a smooth paste forms. Stir in soy sauce, then brown sugar, cayenne and lemon juice. Mix by hand until well combined and smooth.

One of the best recipes for peanut sauce I have tried! This goes great with grilled meats, especially on grilled chicken skewers, on noodles, even used as a salad dressing for spinach salad!. You won't be able to keep your spoon out of the jar, it is that good LOL! This peanut sauce is of a thinner consistency, if you want a thicker sauce, then add in more peanut butter and reduce the water just slightly. This can be made up to 3 days in advance. Kikkoman Thai-Style chili sauce can be found in any Asian section of major grocery stores, I purchase mine at Safeway stores in the Asian section, but you can use any brand of Thai chili sauce for this. You can use about 1/2 - 1 teaspoon (or to taste) red pepper flakes in place of the chili sauce. This recipe may be cut in half to make 2 cups.

Put a spoonful of melted chocolate inside one cup on the silicone mold and use the back of the spoon to spread the chocolate up the sides of the mold. Continue this process until all the molds are coated. Set the remaining chocolate aside for sealing and decorating the bombs. Allow the chocolate to set completely, around 2 to 3 hours. You can speed up the process by placing the chocolate in the refrigerator. When the chocolate is set, remove each of the chocolate pieces from the mold. Add a small amount of instant hot cocoa mix to half the pieces and top the hot cocoa mix with a small amount of peanut butter chips and mini marshmallows. Reheat the chocolate in 15 second intervals until melted. Pick up an empty chocolate piece and dip the edges into the melted chocolate. Carefully place it on top of a filled piece and lightly press it into place. Use your finger to smooth melted chocolate around the seam. Continue until all the chocolate bombs are sealed. Melt the remaining peanut butter chips. Drizzle the chocolate and melted peanut butter over the top of the bombs and decorate with chopped peanut butter cups. Allow the chocolate decorations to set before using, around 1 hour. To make the hot chocolate bombs, place the bomb in the bottom of a mug. Pour one cup of hot milk over the top of the bomb to melt the chocolate. When the chocolate is completely melted, stir to combine.
